Cup Plant and Joe Pye Weed

Joe Pye Weed
Eupatoirium maculatum

Kids can be interested in the 'cups' formed where the cup plant leaves clasp the huge sqaure stem.  Water can collect there which attracts insects and spiders and even small 'tree' frogs.

Tall plants like this can line paths to shelter playing children and inspire imaginative play.
